It was one of those glorious Queenstown Winter days. The sun was out, a pearler of a day to head up the Remarkables for a ski or snow board. We had a lovely family booked for a private snow charter.
Our driver Richard picked them up around 8.30am from the Hilton Hotel. The party consisted of 4 adults and 2 small children. We do provide Booster seats for our younger guests. They came in handy that day.
Richard is a long time local and very knowledgable of the area, so he entertained our guests with some interesting facts on the local area.
The Remarkables road is sealed for the first 10km of the access road. The remaining 3km are unsealed but in good condition. The road is mostly steep and has numerous sharp turns, so our family was very happy to have Richard driving them.
As a transport provider Your Queenstown Transport was also allowed to drop you off right outside the base building of the Remarkables ski field. We happily bypassed a long queue of people waiting to be picked up from the car park area.
Our family had a wonderful day up the Mountain. The little ones gave tubing a go, while the older children practiced their jump skills in the Stash, Remarkables Freestyle Park.
Richard collected them by 3.30pm from the base building and delivered our small group back to the Hilton by 4pm.
